Zeichnungen 2001 – 2026 (fig. 1 – 147)
Béla Pablo Janssen

This artist’s book presents the drawings of Béla Pablo Janssen (b. 1981, Cologne) in all their variety for the first time. At the same time, it situates them within the broader context of his artistic practice through the exhibition Theater der Sonnenzuwendung at NAK Neuer Aachener Kunstverein.

147 drawings (fig. 1 – 147) unfold as an open structure: an invitation to play in which the works can be read and recombined in ever-changing ways.

The accompanying texts by Sebastian Hammerschmidt, Julia Martel, and Thomas E. Merian frame BPJ’s practice within contemporary artistic discourse, ranging from archival practices to questions of planetary time and relational ecologies.
