INFORMATION //

NAK Neuer Aachener Kunstverein cordially invites you to this year’s digital benefit auction under the patronage of Prof. Henrik Hanstein (Kunsthaus Lempertz, Cologne) and on behalf of the participating artists.

The online auction will be held in three weekly blocks between December 1 and December 21, 2025. The items to be auctioned will be divided equally over these three weeks.

To participate in the auction and place bids, please register in advance on the auction website under “Registration” and then confirm your registration by clicking on the link in your confirmation email. Any accounts created in previous years may need to be recreated by bidders, as old accounts are deleted from the system after prolonged inactivity. On the auction website, you will find the works to be auctioned under the ‘Aktuelle Auktion’ tab and works that have already expired or are still to come under ‘Alle Auktionen’.

On the respective Sunday evening, the works offered at auction run on a delayed basis, with the highest bid then being accepted. After submitting a bid, you will be notified by email, as well as if you have been outbid and, of course, if your bid has been accepted. If a bid is placed on a work in the last 5 minutes, its duration is automatically extended once by a further 3 minutes. During this time, any number of new bids can be placed, but the auction period will not be extended again. During this time, it is advisable to reload the website repeatedly, i.e., refresh your browser, in order to keep track of all bid increments, as the current leading bid does not update automatically.

After successfully bidding on a work, you will receive an invoice for the purchase in a timely manner; immediate payment via the auction site used by the NAK is deactivated and therefore not possible. Please wait for the invoice. After payment (bank transfer or payment on site), we will ship the work or it can be picked up at the NAK by prior appointment.

If you have any questions about the auction, the works, or the artists, please do not hesitate to contact the NAK. If you have any problems registering on the auction website or have any other questions about the procedure, please also contact the NAK in advance by phone or email. We will be pleased to assist you.

PREVIEW //

All of the participating artists’ works are presented in detail in advance on the NAK’s Instagram and Facebook profiles. This digital preview is continuously updated.

EXHIBITION //

All works to be auctioned will be presented in an exhibition on site at the Kunstverein. The exhibition opens on December 6, 2025, at 7 p.m. Viewings are then possible daily (except Mondays) until December 21; the NAK is open on these days from 2 to 6 p.m.

GET-TOGETHER //

In order to introduce the exhibits and participating artists to those interested, we offer weekly evening gatherings for all visitors to the Kunstverein.
